In the early 2000s, the people of remote Nootka Sound were struggling—economically, socially, culturally, and, it would seem, spiritually. And then hope arrived…in the form of a young, playful killer whale. But would Luna stay with his new friends, or be forced to return to his own kind? Ingrid Nixon has told this moving true story on stages across the country, to wide acclaim. She was recorded live at the Forest Storytelling Festival in Port Angeles, WA, last fall.

Hi Ingrid. As usual your storytelling is over the moon!! I’ve sent it to my Texan grandkids and their 4 cousins. They were amazed and thoroughly rapt!! Thank you so much for sharing your incredible abilities!! What a wonderful and super intelligent Orca. So sweet and so intriguing with the human relationships. Loved it!!!
