South Georgia Island is an island without equal and one that is near and dear to our hearts. The concentration of wildlife is astounding and the scenic backdrop is without parallel. It is also the final resting place of legendary polar explorer, Ernest Shackleton.
This video captures Peter Harrison delivering a toast to “The Boss” while standing beside Shackleton’s gravestone in Grytviken, recounting the extraordinary leadership and relentless efforts that brought all his men home in 1916.
